Mail Content Filtering - Overview
The content filtering service allows you to control where mails are sent and how they should
be filtered depending on criteria you specify. This allows mails from certain clients to be automatically forwarded to the relevant departments or potentially harmful messages filtered out before they reach the
desks of your user's. This will allow you to run a more efficient and profitable organisation as your users
will not have to waste their time sorting through unnessesary email each day.
The Content Filtering Process
The content filtering works by setting up a number of rules which are then applied to emails before they
pass into the main section of the scanning process.
A number of different events can occur once a message has been positively identified by a rule. The message can be forced through the filter even if it would normally be identified as spam, it can be deleted or quarantined, or alerts can be sent to a number of different recipients.
